It is also an excellent scalp and hair moisturizer. Because shea butter is a natural product, it can become hard and can change in appearance. This is normal. To restore to a pliable consistency, microwave for a few seconds in a microwave-safe container or place jar in a pan of hot water for 15-30 minutes. Warnings: for external use only.
